Laughter is so therapeutic, when you hear someone chunkling, your body opens up and you automatically rise a smile to whatever is going on. It completely changes your state and your energy.
I would like to see peak hour traffic drivers, smiling and laughing, I think the traffic would flow better and if not, then no body would mind! As everyone is too busy having a good time and releasing all the days'tension.
Or how about we all spend one precious mintue each day, doing deep belly laughs, do them first thing in the morning to set ourselves up for the day! Yes I will start tomorrow,
As I was doing my shopping recently, I came across a child in a scroller, she had her tongue sticking out, and guess what i did? Yes I followed her, all the while her mummy was looking for those frozen pees, we shared a moment and then we both cracked up laughing, and then I moved away and then to surprise her I did it again and she let out this gorgeous squeel this was magic...
it made my day, complete.
So if you have trouble laughing each day, look for it, when you focus on it those hilarous moments will come.
Have fun, after all we all still have the inner child within us, let him/her out from time to time, it feels great.
Reasons to Smile
The Power of Dreams

Dreams we all have them, some people remember them and others forget them as soon as you wake up. Well this is one type of dream, another is like having goals and aspirations. I read somewhere that goals are simply dreams with deadlines. I liked that as this resonated with me and made me feel that dreams are not just airy-fairy out there, they have a life of their own, we put energy into our dreams and what we want. Sure sometimes life gives us something else and we need to make the most of it and still remember that dream/goal, we need to stay on our true course, sometimes we alter the course just a little and then we realise that we have been living someone elses'dream and we ponder when did this happen? We forgot OUR DREAM and took on their dream as a replacement and wonder why we are so unhappy?
So its like the sleeping state dreams, we do remember and we need to focus on the power of our dreams, they propel us forward, motivating us through the rough seas, if we forget them, we quickly adopt other dreams that may seem good at the time, and may make us happy, in the short term. So I say simply, follow your DREAMS!
Sweet Dreams....
Changing Tack

When do you realise that you need to change tack? When things are always the same and thus the results are the same, that is when. I found myself in a conversation recently with a client about this. He had been proactive in increasing his client base and putting out there the good energy, however he got no feedback and thus the results stayed the same, he wanted an outcome, to increase his clients to get bookings and to be busy. Ultimately what most small business want.
So we brainstormed ideas on what he could do to get a different outcome. I was surprised to find myself telling my story, and in that was the solution, maybe a potential solution, as there are so many different ways to get there, just like being on a boat, you can stay on your course for a while and then you need to tack to get you closer to your destination, the line may not be straight, as with tacking you find yourself zig-zagging towards your ultimate outcome, life is like this too, try something new, evalutate and then keep on course or change angles.
Often the wind maybe the primary reason why you end up somewhere else, or perhaps you didn't factor that in, and you focused on the compass course instead. Its all ok as the destination is not the primary objective the journey is, as you have learnt various ways of seeing the situation and applying different strategies of arriving at your given destination. And when you get there, you can celebrate that you have learned from your lessons and kept on your ultimate course.
Good Health

According to the Australasian Society for the Study of Obesity, 52% of women and 67% of Australian men are overweight or obese. I’m sure you know of someone that is overweight or obese, even now you see young children with health issues. A staggering 25% of Australian children are overweight or obese- one of the highest levels amongst developed nations (Monash University Obesity Expert Paul Zimmet)
It’s scary that so many people continue to misuse their bodies
Your body is your temple, its sacred; you need to respect it and nurture it. Imagine that your body is a plant. You take good care of this plant, you pot it with the right soil, nutrients, water it, you prune it, talk to it and ensure it gets some sun - simple really.
Your body is the same. You need to nurture your body with good food, rest when necessary and exercise it to keep it tuned up. You also need to pay attention to any discomfort/pain as it could be related to how you feel.. So what is going on in your life right now? This could be related to how you feel. Something to think about. If you take good care of your temple you will enjoy a long life, imagine that feeling of being able to exercise at any age and feel fit and healthy, your body will shine, and thus you will shine.
In essence its all about balance, good nutrition and exercise, keep it fun. The day you stop enjoying it, it becomes a chore and then we can regress, get bored and stop. So keep your fitness regime varied, and make sure you have time for you! You are worth it and if you keep healthy, you can enjoy those activities for many years to come!

Curiosity

Children have an endless supply of it, they are off in any tangent, playing, questioning, being a real ‘sticky peak’ as some would say. This is fabulous that children wonder about stuff and want answers to their questions. As we get older we become more introverted and stop asking so much, and if fact we feel that being curious can be irritating for others, so we refrain.
Pity really as being in a state of curiosity allows us no matter how old we perceive ourselves to me, to engage in the novelty, to stretch ourselves a little and even learn something new. This allows us to engage with others and also to see what is out there, curiosity is essential in personal development and in finding new ways of doing things.
If we could all take a day out to just explore what is, and what can be, fill the day with dreams and wishful thinking, we would reclaim a little bit of our childhoods and gain a totally different perspective.
Many people are seeking just that, a different perspective, so if you are curios to try something new, give life coaching a go, you could surprise yourself and enjoy the journey and begin to shape your life you always intended it to be
Thinking Patterns

When you see people some of us automatically start to compare, how they dress, what they have, how they walk, we become externally orientated and often times judge ourselves based on what we have seen, are we good enough? Why don’t I have that!, she has a great body and I don’t, and so on and so forth. We are guilty of comparing to others and with that we entertain our thoughts onto them, we focus on them and they get our energy. As we do this we are not focusing on ourselves but at the other person, and we analyse this and sometimes duel on this for far too long.
The power of thought is amazing, it is a tool for creation for manifesting what you want, many people are just on automatic pilot and think they cannot drive their thoughts it happens automatically, they have no control over them. Well this is not so, you are the creator of your reality and your day, so if you put your thoughts onto something external that is what happens and you do not look at what you really desire. If you then focus on what you want for example and say “this never happens to me” then you are not being aligned with what you want as you are putting out the wrong signals in your thinking.
When I understood the concept of “we get what we expect not what we want” I finally got it that I needed to work on increasing my expectations and putting out there my optimistic attitude. As I needed to match my thoughts with my expectation and funnily enough things started to manifest and I knew I had created this.
If you find yourself in the pattern of going around in circles and you cannot find the exit door, just stop, take a deep breathe and ask for directions. A life coach can be your ally and your sounding board. If you want to change your thinking, you can, focus on what you want instead and align yourself with that in very sense of the word.
Altruistic Acts

When people help other people for no hidden agenda but to simply help that person, this is a selfish less act, altruistic in nature. I always considered myself as an altruistic person, volunteering at different organizations and working at camps for children with disabilities, I loved it giving to others, and this made me feel good in the process. Sometimes doing something like this gives you perspective on how good your life really is. If by the act of helping someone you give them an opportunity, something they would not have had without your assistance.
I have been the receiver of this recently, and I am so deeply touched by this, I feel so grateful for people like him, to offer something so precious to us and to allow us to dream about what will be. Only days prior I was sad about the prospect of no help coming our way, but a complete stranger stepped in and has changed our future. He does not really know us, so I guess the energy I put out there many times over has come back to us, tenfold.
I am grateful to have this chance, a possibility of having our dream come true,
So if you are wondering how you can be more altruistic in nature, look around you, someone is waiting for the chance, and if you have the resources and can spare the energy, you will be accumulating ‘brownie points’ for later on in your life, as you just never know if you will be needing a lending hand in your later years.
Monday-itis

Well here we are again its Monday, and you are thinking about your weekend and how much fun it was. You are on the bus/train and see empty faces and glassy stares. You go back to yesterday and wished the weekend lasted longer, a three day weekend yes that would be nice. You don’t want to be in the present moment and dream about all you did those two days
In the office you notice people around the water cooler discussing their weekends in detail, anything to avoid going back into your pigeon hole, the emails and the pending work. You celebrate Wednesday as it’s hump day and count the days to Friday, 2 days to the weekend and your Freedom, and how sacred that is! You can sleep in, catch up with friends over latté, do your sport etc.
You feel sad that your weekend is finally over and anxious about the week ahead at work. I used to get this anxious feeling the night before actually when I was preparing my lunch for the next day or ironing my shirt.
We are sheep following each other and work to be accepted in our society that is what is expected of us? Right? Some would say so, others create each day to be filled with challenges, excitement and connection, after all life is meant to be enjoyed Everyday not just living for the weekends.
So if you are battling yourself this morning as you reach for your first coffee, think about what you would like instead? If you are not in your dream job, then its time to get going on your dream, and come and talk to a Success Coach. I used to be a sheep, until I discovered my passions and my balance, and I cannot imagine ever going back to water cooler chit-chats.
Time Tips for the Busy You
Write down all the things/tasks you usually do in your working day. Look at them and ask honestly ask yourself:
· Can I delegate this to someone else?
· Do I need to do this every day or can I do it once every second or third day or once a week?
Ensure you have a break in your day. You need to nurture yourself otherwise you will run out of steam and your body needs fuel, so you can continue at your peak level. If it’s your own business, you are motivated to making it work, ensure you keep on top of things so eat well, after all you are the brand of your business.
Once you have tweaked your activities for the day, by prioritizing what is important, what can be delegated. Otherwise what tends to happen is the following:
You feel stressed, thus all your work piles up and you cannot manage your inbox, and you feel stressed so this emotion is out in the open for you to get more stress as they say we get what we focus on. The lesson is to acknowledge you are stressed and tackle your activity sheet with what you need to do. Breathe deeply for a few minutes. Then you can get back to it and be more productive and feel like you achieved something in your day.
Holding on to tasks is not better management of your resources, it means you have not empowered others enough to take some responsibility; you need to share the load, so you can be more productive and calmer in the process. It takes a bit of work initially having to create your tasks each day, then in no time you will do this automatically and create your day with purpose and direction.
